Solirius Consulting is looking for customer-focused Solution Architects with 10+ years of leadership experience in improvement-based technical project management, business analysis and solution design. You will offer demonstrated mastery in facilitating evaluation of requirements for business application/solution integration and service activation.

  • Provide expert design and advice for the implementation and management of the Migration/Transition of system/services and their connectivity.
  • Help create the partner support organisation aimed at backing partners during implementation and strategic architecture efforts.
  • Collaborated with product owners and engineering team members to define and develop product concepts and approach.
  • Drive continual improvement to system architecture by removal of legacy systems and services (where required).
Duties and Deliverables:
Working to set-up and build a DevOps environment, you will be responsible for:
  • Investigating and solving issues across a variety of systems and networks. This role offers the successful applicants the opportunity to work for an innovative and leading organisation at the cutting edge of cyber security.
  • Assisting in the automation of daily tasks using self-created tools and scripts.
  • Assisting in the vulnerability management process. Work with teams to facilitate patching.
  • This role offers the successful applicant the chance to develop within a multi-skilled role and an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Operate as a lead for operational maintenance eg patching and failovers.
  • Able to work with structured frameworks, methodologies and best practices.
  • An ability to learn from, and adapt to, a changing technical environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working with project/development teams to develop new build and deployment solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team (co-located or dispersed).
Desirable attributes:
  • Previous work with MOD people and process.
  • Design work for large migration projects.
  • Background within MOD international systems and services.
Design background or understanding in any of the following services:
  • Email (SMTP)
  • Instant Messaging (CHAT)
  • Web services
  • Voice and Video
  • MOD Legacy systems (LC2/RNCSS)
  • BATCIS (Battlespace CIS) (son of BPS, SMI3, Land Deployed Gateway etc)
  • Networks
Engineering background with a ‘can do’ attitude.
